Du Toitskloof

Photo taken at Du Toitskloof , Cape Town, South Africa.

A place woth visiting.  Great family picnics, trout fishing for Dads & sons, lovely Klipriver, braai areas under shady trees, beautiful lawns for kids to run around and play safely, wine tasting and much more.

A time to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views.  Also perfect for a romantic weekend away!

Man's best friend

What a start we, as a family had to 2011 with a sick dog.  JR, is our very special canine friend and part of our family.  He is now 11 years old.  For almost a month we had numerous visits to the vet, without any proper diagnosis, and almost seemed like a guessing process.  It is really painful to see him going backwards each passing day, yet his spirit is high, but he is getting weaker.  My daughter has been amazing, taking care of him, making sure he eats, cleaning up after him. A difficult time ahead for us.  At this stage, there is no indication that he is in pain.  The fear every morning is, finding him peaceful in a deep sleep, never to look into those amazing brown eyes, to see the joy in his eyes and tail wagging.  We are making the most of the time we have with him.  Enjoy, just sitting with him, stroking him and create more wonderful memories which will last us a life time.

Shipwreck in Cape Town

The above picture was taken at the Table View beach front in Cape Town, South Africa.

Quite the sight, but at what cost?

Eventually marine life will inhabit the wreckage. This will then become a snorckling and scuba diving attraction.

One has to wonder what damage this wreckage has caused to the existing marine life.

A summers night in the Mother City

What can be more relaxing than taking the dogs for a nice walk and taking a refreshing dip in the pool.

The Cape Town weather has been incredibly amazing!
